Local self-government refers to the ability of municipalities and local councils to make decisions and manage their affairs with a significant degree of independence from the central government. This type of governance allows local communities to provide public services and organize local matters according to their actual needs. The autonomy of local self-government depends on various factors, including financial capability, local legislation, and effective administrative structures. The main objective is to enhance local democracy and deliver services that are more efficient and tailored to the needs of local residents
