The Algerian Front for the Defence and Respect of Freedom..An attempt to unify revolutionary action

Abstract

The post-World War II period saw a strong resurgence of the Algerian national movement with its different currents, since the idea of uniting militant action remained among Algerians. Unitarian experience involving all parties and entities active at the time emerged; Including nationalists, Islamists, communists and liberals in an attempt to create a platform of agreement and arrangement for the preparation of a common Algerian demands list to be submitted to the French authorities. This was enshrined in the organization then known as the Algerian Front for the Defence and respect of freedom, which was created in Algeria on 5 October 1951.
