Abstract
Algerian foreign policy was linked to a set of features and determinants that had a
prominent impact on the effective presence of its foreign policy regionally, continentally and
internationally. It was also able to achieve remarkable progress in some files, through its
implementation of several mediations at the international level, and the movement formed The
Arab political situation witnessed by some Arab countries, including the countries of Algeria’s
eastern neighbor, Libya, is a major turning point in the exacerbation and complexity of the
security threats and challenges facing Algeria. The situation in Libya deteriorated, the fall of the
regime and its entry into an armed conflict between the Libyan parties led to a serious security
exposure of Algeria’s borders, especially in The vastness of Algeria’s borders with Libya
remained, which led Algeria to try to combat security threats by working to solve the Libyan
crisis through peaceful means, and calling for a Libyan-Libyan solution.
Emphasizing the rejection of any foreign interference, Algerian foreign policy was
intensively active to resolve the 2011 Libyan crisis, by proposing several initiatives and
mediations between the Libyan parties, which reached the point of convincing the Libyan parties
to reach a political solution. However, the problem remains the international and regional
interference, which is still an obstacle. Offer any settlement.
At the end of the study, we concluded that Algeria must improve work, neighborhood
coordination, and exploit its options in confronting terrorism to impose peace in Libya.
