This study aims to highlight the issue of food security as a complex issue that must be focused on and alerted to in the Arab world as one of the most important branches of strategic security. This study also aimed to analyze the reality of food dependency in Arab countries by analyzing its various indicators, as there is an urgent need to ensure sufficient food for the Arab citizen and achieve self-sufficiency and food security. Raising the issue of food security in Arab countries between reality and hope is of great importance in our contemporary world with its political, economic and security components, as food and nutrition remain the main concern of all countries and peoples, either by producing what can be produced or importing what you need with all that this requires in terms of financial capabilities and internal and external conditions that affect and are affected by the food issue. The results of the study concluded that Arab countries suffer to varying degrees from food dependency on the outside in light of data that speaks of a real shortage in food production, and serious reports and research on this topic emphasize the need to deal quickly with the negative consequences.
