dc.description.abstractThis workpresentsacomprehensivestudyontheprogramminganddesignofanautonomousrobotspecialized in cleaningtheenvironment.Theresearchisdividedintotwocomplementaryparts:theoreticalandapplied. The theoreticalpartfocusesonprovidingabroadbackgroundonthefieldofrobotics,includingitshistory, evolution,andmovementmechanisms.Italsodetailsthehardwareandsoftwareusedinthepracticalproject and includesathoroughexplanationoftherenownedYOLO(YouOnlyLookOnce)techniqueinobject recognition. The appliedpartexplainsthestepsinvolvedininstallingandoperatingtherobotdesignedforthisproject, detailing theprogrammedalgorithmsandtechniquesused.Thissectionalsopresentsexperimentalresults that demonstratetherobot’seffectivenessinperformingitscleaningtasks.
