This work aims to study the effect of the hot climate on the mechanical and physical properties of a roller compacted concrete (RCC) for application in road engineering and using local materials. Two climatic factors were studied in this work (temperature and relative humidity). The experimental approach consists of studying the effect of these two factors on the mechanical and physical properties of the RCC in the cured state. To assess the effect of these factors on the behavior of the RCC, four different temperatures (15, 30, 45 and 60 ° C) were chosen, each temperature was studied in four levels of relative humidity (30, 50, 70 and 90%); as a result, sixteen environmental media were studied. The results indicated the rise in temperature adversely affects the properties of the RCC especially in dry conditions. To remedy this problem, we proceeded to treat the RCC, first by applying three modes of curing and second by incorporating silica fume. Indeed, the three curing methods had a positive effect on the properties of concrete. On the other hand, the main drawback associated with the incorporation of silica fume in the RCC is its negative effect on shrinkage. However, changes in temperature and humidity are related to each other, so it was necessary to evaluate the interaction effect of these two factors on the mechanical and physical properties of the RCC. Therefore, the research also aims to develop mathematical models that can be used to predict the properties of RCC at different temperatures and relative humidity normally encountered in outdoor conditions in most climates. Finally, to check the validity and reliability of these models, the RCC was examined in three additional environmental media randomly chosen. The obtained results by the experiments were compared with the results provided by the mathematical models. The results indicated showed a significant correlation between the developed models and the corresponding experimental data. They exhibited some quadratic relationships with a very high degree of correlationen_US
