Abstract
This study seeks to study the impact of IT on KM in M’sila university, Algeria. For the sake of reaching this objective, we have dealt theoretically with the most important concepts and basic correlations related to approaches that have a relation with IT and its components (hardware, software, data, communication, and people) and with KM and its processes (acquirement and creation, storing, transformation and distribution, and application).
A questionnaire has been made to answer the research questions and obtain reliable data. Several statistical tests have been used to validate the research hypothesis. Also, it has been recognized that the university faculties have sufficient IT processes, but the use of them does not go with updated application; besides, they do not have the whole KM requirements because they do not have Organizational Leadership. Moreover, the results confirmed that there is an impact of IT, which has a statistical proof, on KM especially on Communication. But this impact on Transformation and Distribution of knowledge was the highest; then, the impact of KT on Acquirement and Creation of knowledge was the lowest
