dc.description.abstractAlimony is one of the most important topics that the Algerian legislator must pay attention to because it is considered one of the necessities of life, due to the important elements it contains that a person cannot do without. They are: what a person spends on his wife, children, and relatives, such as food, clothing, housing, etc. The legislator has singled out alimony. The Algerian family law provides articles for alimony in which it is stated who is obligated to provide alimony, the time during which the wife requests alimony, and the elements that it includes. However, despite this, these articles remain insufficient given the importance of this issue. Articles have also been put in place that protect this right and punish anyone who abstains from performing it. This is what the Algerian legislator decided in the text of Article 331 of the Penal Code.The Algerian legislator also created the alimony fund, which came to protect the child in case of...Divorce of the parents and ensuring a decent living for him and his custody. In the end, we find that everything that the Algerian legislator has stated regarding the subject of alimony is a matter of protecting the family.
