Obama Presidency between Political Promises and Achievements

IV Abstract This work outlines some of the most important promises made by candidate Barack Obama during his electoral campaign, and his major achievements when he took office. Furthermore, it defines how the American governmental system works? And how the decision making process is arranged in the United States white house? This paper shows the gap between proclaimed objectives and actual behaviors in the light of the difficulty of the decision making process especially in the case of the USA as a world leading power. The aim of this study is to analyze Obama’spresidency .And to demonstrate under which conditions the process of decision making is undertaken in the united state government .what affect it? And to which extent is the president able to execute his orders? The president’s orders in the United States are constrained by many obstacles. Among them the lobbyist, the stakeholders, the congress, the republicans …etc these latter could affect any American president because they lie in the United States governmental system. Accordingly a descriptive analytical approach is chosen to carry out this work as it helps in showing the promises and achievements that were made by Obama. Moreover, this research will look to almost all constraint that faced Obama from fulfilling his promise in an analytical way.
