Scientific and technological progress has turned into a tool for domination, oppression and exhaustion of poor people under various covers, including: democratization and respect human rights or achieving international peace, This means that science no longer serves human goals, and is no longer a tool for liberating people, but rather it employs ideological and repressive employment. Marcuse does not exclude the occidental society which is subject to the sur-repression in light of what he called productive ideology, which shrank the occidental human in one dimension including in production and consumption.
