The field of education was not of any exception since educational institutions all over the world shifted from face to face learning to distance learning mode. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of distance learning on EFL learners’ knowledge and linguistic outcomes during the Covid 19 pandemic. The study is divided into two chapters. The first one is a literature review about distance learning and linguistic outcomes. The second chapter is devoted to field work. To answer the research questions, a descriptive qualitative method is adopted. Data are gathered through a questionnaire distributed to Master one linguistics students and an interview with four teachers from the English Department in M’sila University. The findings obtained show that distance learning had a negative impact on EFL learners’ knowledge and linguistic outcomes during Covid 19 pandemic.
