However, the growth of Inter-Arab trade didn't match this gradual cancellation of taxes and customs duties. In fact, it didn't exceed 11.2% of the total Arab trade. This means that the cancellation of customs restrictions alone doesn't automatically lead to the growth of Inter-Arab trade.
