Chemini Naila Nesrine • Bourouis Bouchra, Dr. Bennaa YoucefAbstract: This research aims to explore the unintended consequences of extreme gender ideology and assess the legitimacy of institutions involved in gender research. Extreme gender ideology refers to an ideological framework that takes a rigid and polarized stance on issues of gender, often disregarding the complexities and variations within the spectrum of human identities. The study will examine the potential negative impacts of such ideology on individuals, communities, and societal systems to evaluate the legitimacy of institutions involved in gender research, the research will consider factors such as methodology, objectivity, transparency, and inclusivity. It will analyze the extent to which these institutions adhere to scientific principles and ethical guidelines in their research practices, including the consideration of diverse perspectives and experiences the study will employ a method approach, combining quantitative data collection methods such as articles with content analysis . By examining real-world instances where extreme gender ideology has been advocated or implemented, the research aims to provide evidence on the consequences of extreme gender ideology on the legitimacy of institutions the findings of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the potential risks and unintended consequences associated with extreme gender ideology. It will also provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of institutions engaged in gender research, helping to assess their credibility and influence on public discourse. This research concluded that the rise of extreme gender ideology caused unintended consequences in shaking the legitimacy of institutions and question the common destiny of the American society .
