Abstract:
This work is devoted to the study of medicinal plants of the region Ben Srour (M'sila), it
represents a research on traditional medicine, its remedy and use for the treatment of diseases.
A series of surveys was carried out in the study area among herbalists, inhabitants, to acquire as
much information as possible about the therapeutic uses of medicinal plants practiced by the
local population.The analysis of the results obtained allowed us to counted 93 species belonging
to 43 families, the most represented are Apiécées (8 species), Lamiaceae (11 species), Asteraceae
and fabaceae (7 species). The most used parts of the plant are respectively; Leaves (43%), aerial
parts (21.7%), stems 9.6% and seeds 7.7%. The preparation of medicinal plants takes place in
various ways, namely decoction (37.87%), infusion (27.51%), powder (11.31%), maceration
(5.48%) and raw (6%%). The main pathologies to be treated are; Infectious Diseases, Endocrine
Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Hematological Diseases, Respiratory Tract Diseases,
Neurological Diseases, Traumatology and Rheumatology, Digestive System Diseases, Skin
Pathology and Appendages, Urinary Tract Diseases, Pregnancy and Gynecology , ORL and Tumors
