Abstract
Most of students at middle school find difficulties in learning English vocabulary and mastering it. The aim of this study is to prove that educational games are effective tools in teaching vocabulary, and appropriate strategy for students to understand and remember the meaning of vocabularies easily. This reseracyh deals with the importance of educational games in promoting English vocabulary, and the appropriate selection of games in order to make progress in vocabulary knowledge. The researcher chose the descriptive method in which data were gathered by means of a questionnaire , interview,and observation. After the analysis of the obtained data, the results reveal that using educational games contribute significantly in promoting students vocabulary.
